Job Summary

The Director/Reference Librarian position is responsible for leading campus library employees; managing the budget; completing statistical reports as necessary; writing grants when applicable; promoting the library through creative programming; answering reference questions; and maintaining the monographic collection in Dothan, while coordinating with the Dean of Libraries regarding the electronic needs of the Dothan student population.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Master’s degree in Library and Information Science
2. Minimum of three years of experience as a librarian
3. Record of scholarly work

Preferred Qualifications

1. Previous experience as a library administrator
2. Experience with grant writing
3. Experience with public programming
